DETOURS: Southbound Ackerman traffic may travel south under the I-10 overpass, use the eastbound frontage road to Foster Road, turn left on Foster, and take the westbound frontage road to the westbound entrance ramp, just west of Foster. Northbound Ackerman traffic may use the eastbound frontage road to Foster Road, turn left on Foster, and take the westbound frontage road to the westbound entrance ramp, just west of Foster.

Loop 13 – Military Drive

• Monday, March 15 until Friday, March 26. 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Single eastbound lane closure from Quintana Rd. to Bynum Ave. for sidewalk installations.
• Monday, March 15 until Friday, March 26. 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Single lane closure, in both directions, from S. New Braunfels Ave. to Alsbrook Rd. for sidewalk installation.

RM 337 – Bandera County

• Current until March 2021. Full closure of bridge at Mill Creek for bridge replacement.

Northbound I-35 Entrance at Conrads Lane/Kohlenberg Road Permanent Closure

The northbound I-35 entrance ramp at Conrads Lane/Kohlenberg Road will be permanently closed beginning the morning of Tuesday, March 16. A new northbound I-35 entrance ramp will be opened by the first week of July to replace the closed entrance ramp. 

Until the new entrance ramp is opened, northbound I-35 traffic will continue on the northbound I-35 frontage road and take the northbound I-35 entrance ramp north of Watson Lane.

This construction will be weather permitting and subject to change.

UPDATE: Southbound US 281 Mainlanes Between Evans Road and Stone Oak Parkway

We are thrilled that the extension of the northbound US 281 mainlanes north of Evans Road was completed seamlessly last weekend. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the southbound US 281 mainlane extension north of Evans Road was not ready to open when we previously announced. The southbound US 281 mainlanes are expected to open in the coming weeks and we will provide updates as the schedule is determined. We appreciate your patience while we work hard to improve everyone’s commute. 

We also remind northbound US 281 traffic that the recommended detour to safely head west on Stone Oak Parkway is to continue north on US 281 past Marshall Road, turn around at Oakland Bend, and use the southbound US 281 frontage road. This detour reduces confusion for US 281 mainlane traffic merging onto the frontage road while we finish construction of the Stone Oak/TPC Parkway underpass and intersection, scheduled to open in a couple of months.

I-35 exit and entrance ramps to be relocated at FM 2252 and FM 1103

On March 10, 2021, starting at 8:30 p.m. several ramp closures will be in place on I-35 between FM 2252/FM 482 and FM 1103 (Hubertus Road). Ramp closures are necessary so crews can build the new northbound exit ramp from I-35 to FM 1103 (Hubertus Road), along with the new southbound entrance ramp from I-35 to FM 2252/FM 482. Work will consist of constructing new ramps, retaining walls, drainage structures and pavement. The ramp closures will be in place for approximately two to three months. Completion of work is dependent on weather.

I-35 Northbound:

Closure - The existing entrance ramp at FM 2252/FM 482 to I-35 northbound will be closed.
Detour - To access I-35 northbound from FM 2252/FM 482:

• Northbound traffic on I-35 at FM 2252/FM 482 will continue north on the frontage road.
• Traffic can access the I-35 northbound entrance ramp just past FM 1103 (Hubertus Road).

I-35 Southbound:
Closure - The existing exit ramp at FM 2252/FM .482 from I-35 southbound will be closed.
Detour - To access FM 2252 (Hubertus Road)/FM 482 from I-35 southbound:

• From I-35 Southbound, take Exit 178 (FM 1103/Hubertus Road).
• Travel along the I-35 South frontage road to reach FM 2252 (Hubertus Road) / FM 482.

• Sunday, March 7 until Friday, March 12. Double mainlane closure, in both directions, from Independence Dr. to Kerlick Lane for roadway resurfacing. 

RM 337 – Bandera County

• Current until March 2021. Full closure of bridge at Mill Creek for bridge replacement.
