We're still setting the work zone on US 281

The US 281 expansion has thus far meant restriping travel lanes and clearing the right-of-way. In coming days temporary concrete barriers will go up to allow crews to safely clear brush and other items separate from active traffic.
This requires continued overnight closures between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. We do this at night to minimize traffic impact on drivers and businesses.
These specific locations will be impacted next week:

• August 14 at 9 p.m. until August 15 at 5 a.m. Single right lane closure of southbound US 281 from Encino Rio to Redland Road.
• August 15 at 9 p.m. until August 16 at 5 a.m. Single right lane closure of southbound US 281 from Redland Road to Agora Palms Drive.
• August 16 at 9 p.m. until August 17 at 5 a.m. Single right lane closure of southbound US 281 from the Loop 1604/Sonterra Road exit ramp to Sonterra Road entrance ramp – please note there will be no impacts to the ramp.
• August 17 at 9 p.m. until August 18 at 5 a.m. Single left lane closure of southbound US 281 frontage road near Sonterra Road.
