As part of the ongoing IH-10 frontage road construction, the
contractor is progressing into the next stage of construction which will
require the complete closure of the existing Eastbound Frontage road from
Menger Springs to US-87 (Main St.) in order to construct the new Eastbound
Frontage Road approaching US-87.
The closure is scheduled to start on Monday January 3, 2022 at 9:00 AM, weather permitting.
This will allow TxDOT’s contractor to construct the new Eastbound Frontage Road and new US-87 Southbound bridge approach work. Estimated completion Spring 2022.
DETOUR: Eastbound Frontage Road traffic will be detoured at the new Eastbound Entrance ramp onto IH-10 and will return to the Eastbound Frontage Road using the Exit 543 Scenic Loop exit.
