We've had several emails, tweets and phone calls regarding a closure announced by digital message board on the eastbound frontage road of I-10 between Ralph Fair and Boerne Stage roads.
For whatever reason, this is a closure that escaped our weekly closure reports - apologies for that!
Here are the details:
The eastbound frontage road of I-10 will close between Ralph Fair and Boerne Stage roads the nights of May 4 and May 5 while crews set bridge support beams at the Leon Creek bridge. Work will begin 10 p.m. each night and the road will be reopened by 5 a.m. the following morning.
Traffic will be diverted to the eastbound main lanes, where it will exit Camp Bullis, turn around and return to Boerne Stage Road to reach its destination. This should all be done during low-traffic-volume hours so the delay won't be terribly long.
Local traffic to the newly opened Walmart will still be able to reach its destination, but will need to exit Walmart onto Boerne Stage Road directly.
