Weekend of Oct 20th

•  Eastbound right main lane on I-10 will be closed between US 87 and SH 46 from Friday, October 19, 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, October 22. The closure will allow for construction vehicles to access the eastbound shoulder for its reconstruction.
• No detours are proposed as the eastbound left main lane will remain open; however, through-traffic motorists should be alerted of slower moving traffic in this area. 

Weekend of Oct 27th

• Reconstruction of the eastbound I-10 shoulder will continue this weekend, but focused around SH 46 interchange. The eastbound right main lane on I-10 will be closed between Johns Road to east of the SH 46 interchange from Friday, October 26, 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, October 29.
• The eastbound left main lane will remain open, and through-traffic drivers should be alerted of slower moving traffic in this area. In addition, reconstruction activities will require that the eastbound I-10 exit to SH 46 be closed for a few hours (anticipated to occur on Saturday October 27).
• During the exit closure, drivers wishing to access SH 46 from eastbound I-10 will be directed to use the Scenic Loop exit, where they will be directed to turnaround so that they can access the SH 46 exit from I-10 westbound.

I-10 East Expansion Project Scheduled Closures

Construction is underway to widen I-10 East from four to six lanes between I-410 and Loop 1604. The following closures are scheduled from Sunday, October 21 until Friday, October 26. All work is weather-permitting and subject to change.

Eastbound and Westbound I-10 Mainlanes:

• Alternating lane closures will occur nightly in both directions as crews perform pavement resurfacing, striping and placement of portable traffic barriers. One lane will remain open in each direction while work is being performed in the other lane. 

Eastbound and Westbound I-10 Frontage Road Lanes:

• The inside left-turn-only frontage road lanes approaching the Ackerman Road intersection will be closed daily in both directions as crews drill shafts for the newly-widened bridge piers to begin expanding the Ackerman Road overpass.

I-10 – West San Antonio

• Current until Saturday, October 20. 9 p.m. until 9 p.m. Full closure of eastbound mainlanes at Dominion Drive for bridge work. DETOUR: Dominion Drive in both directions at the I-10 intersection will be closed, so westbound traffic can use Boerne Stage Road and eastbound can go on Camp Bullis Road. 
• Friday, October 26 until Monday, October 29. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Eastbound right mainlane from ½-mile west of SH 46 to ½-mile east of US 87 for shoulder reconstruction work. 

I-10 – East San Antonio

• Current until Sunday, October 21. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Eastbound right mainlane from ½-mile west of SH 46 to ½-mile east of US 87 for shoulder reconstruction. DETOUR: Traffic will be diverted to eastbound frontage road and back on mainlanes at Scenic Loop Road entrance. 
• Saturday, October 20, 5 a.m. until 9 p.m. Alternating mainlanes in both directions from I-410 to Loop 1604 for striping, milling, paving and barrier installation work. 

I-35 – Northeast San Antonio

• Wednesday, October 24.9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Northbound Randolph Boulevard/Thousand Oaks ramp for electrical work. 

Loop 1604 – South San Antonio

• Monday, October 22 until Saturday, October 27. 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Alternating main lanes in both directions from Rock Port Road to FM 1303 (South Flores Road) for striping and barrier work. 

Loop 1604 – West San Antonio

• Sunday, October 14 until Saturday, November 3. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Northbound alternating frontage road lanes just south of US 90 intersection for paving, striping and barrier removal work. 
• Sunday, October 14 until Saturday, November 3. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Northbound alternating frontage road lanes from US 90 to Potranco Road for paving, striping and barrier removal work. 
• Sunday, October 21 until Friday, October 26. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Westbound frontage road from Hausman Road to Bandera Road for milling and paving work. 
• Sunday, October 21 until Friday, October 26. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Eastbound and westbound cloverleaf ramps to I-10 for guard rail and mow strip work.

Loop 1604 – North San Antonio

• Saturday, October 20 until Monday, October 22. 3 a.m. until 5 a.m. Full closure of the westbound frontage road between US 281 southbound frontage road to Stone Oak Parkway exit for direct connector work 
• Monday, October 22 until Friday, October 26. 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Full closure of the westbound frontage road between US 281 southbound frontage road to Stone Oak Parkway exit for direct connector work. 
• Monday, October 22 until Friday, October 26. 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Alternating westbound frontage road lanes between US 281 northbound exit ramp to US 281 northbound frontage road for striping and barrier work. 
• Saturday, October 27 until Monday, October 29. 3 a.m. until 5 a.m. Full closure of the westbound frontage road between US 281 southbound frontage road to Stone Oak Parkway exit for direct connector work. 

US 281 – North San Antonio

• Monday, October 22 until Friday, October 26. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Full closure of northbound mainlanes from Sonterra Boulevard exit ramp to Sonterra Boulevard entrance ramp for striping and barrier work. 
• Monday, October 22 until Friday, October 26. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Full closure of southbound frontage road from Sonterra Boulevard entrance ramp to Loop 1604 westbound frontage road and from Sonterra Boulevard exit ramp to Frontage Road entrance ramp for direct connector work. 
• Monday, October 22 until Saturday, October 27. 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Alternating mainlanes in both directions from just south of Loop 1604 to just north of Loop 1604 for barrier work. 
• Monday, October 29 until Friday, November 2. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Full closure of northbound mainlanes from Redland Road to Encino Rio for striping and barrier work.

SH 16 (Bandera Road) – West San Antonio

• Sunday, October 21 until Friday, October 26. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Two southbound lanes from Cedar Trail to Cooter Browns for Overhead Sign Bridge (OSB) work. 

US 90 – West San Antonio

• Sunday, October 21 until Saturday, November 10. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Eastbound center mainlane from ½-mile west of Loop 1064 southbound to ½-mile east of Loop 1604 northbound for direct connector work. DETOUR: Traffic rerouted to eastbound frontage road past I-410 interchange and back on to US 90. 

US 87 (Rigsby Road) – Southeast San Antonio

• Monday, October 22 until Saturday, October 27. Eastbound right lane from Bonair Road to Jupe Drive for sidewalk and driveway work. 

I-37 – South Region

• Sunday, October 7 until Friday, November 2. 7 p.m. until 6 a.m. Northbound main lanes from Atascosa/Live Oak county line to approximately one mile north of US 281A for paving and milling work. Ramp closures include FM 1099 entrance and exit and US 281A entrance. 
• Current until November 30. 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Northbound main lanes from Atascosa/Live Oak county line to approximately one mile north of US 281A for guard rail work. 

FM 1957 (Potranco Road) – West San Antonio

• Saturday, October 27. 6 a.m. until 3 p.m. Full closure in both directions at Loop 1604 for traffic signal work. 

FM 1346 (E. Houston St.) – Southeast San Antonio

• Monday, October 22 until Saturday, October 27. 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Eastbound right lane from WW White to Flora Road for sidewalk and driveway work. 

Other roads – Bexar County

• Monday, October 22 until Thursday, October 25. 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Both directions of Reed Road at Loop 1604 for concrete island removal. 
• Monday, October 22 until Friday, October 26. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Eastbound Redland Road at US 281 for ramp work. 
• Monday, October 22 until Saturday, October 27. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Full closure of Military Drive in both directions at Loop 1604 for bridge work. 
• Thursday, October 25 until Friday, December 21. 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Both directions of Kilmarnoch Lane from Bonny Brae Lane to Loop 1604 for construction work. 

Other roads – Atascosa County

• Current until November 30. 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Two lanes of northbound I-37 between Atascosa/Live Oak county line to one mile north of US 281A for pouring concrete, paving and guardrail installation. DETOUR: Northbound traffic on I-37 will be diverted at Exit 98 (FM 541); westbound traffic on FM 1099 will be diverted to US 281A.
